HELP IS NEEDED TO SUPPORT MILITARY MEMBERS Deploying in Response to COVID-19

In response to counter the effects of the contagious virus, known as COVID-19, with medical testing, transportation and logistics support, tens of thousands of National Guardsmen are expected to be called to duty over the coming weeks. In at least 27 states, Guardsmen have already been activated. (Read more here.)

In addition, the Defense Department has placed hundreds of medical personnel on alert and ordered the deployment of two hospital ships to help public health agencies shore up their capacity as the coronavirus pandemic threatens to overwhelm community hospitals. These military members will be primarily coming from Norfolk, Virginia and San Diego, California. (Read more here.)

We need you more than ever.

This is an unprecedented pandemic in which military members and their families are going to turn to Dogs on Deployment for help with their pets’ care. With standard deployments and training, military members usually have months of planning to prepare to deploy. In this case, they may have days.

Log in Now to Update Your DoD Profile

If you are available to board a military pet, log in now to update your profile. Remember, military members are going to be stressed, confused, and desperate for help. They may not know when they’re going to return for their pet. They won’t have all the answers. This is a time we’re asking our volunteer DoD Boarders to do something above and beyond the normal, to go out on a limb to help our troops that are going on the home front lines to help combat this global threat.

Coral’s Mom is Deploying on the USNS Mercy

Located in San Diego, Ca., Coral is just one of the 268 military Pets in Need that need DoD Boarders nationwide in support of various military commitments. See Coral’s Profile.

They Also Need Financial Support

In these uncertain times, one thing remains certain; our commitment to our military families to help them through tough times.

Jax is a young pup that requires urgent heart surgery to fix a life threatening condition.

Owned by a US Air Force family, Jax is a young pup that requires a life-saving surgery. The family is struggling to afford the nearly $5,500 treatment. Jax is just one of 36 military pets currently seeking our help for financial assistance.

We’re seeking to raise $5,623 from now until March 31st to help Jax and several other military families needing help.

We know times are rough, but without your help, we cannot help these families. Please, consider supporting Dogs on Deployment by:
